We are the music makers,

and we are the dreamers of dreams

            – Willy Wonka

Since starting my studio

MANY things have changed over the years, from the tech used, to client expectations and needs.

One thing that has not changed, my clients’ need for expertise and direction on how to use the visualization tools at hand to best convey a message whether marketing, training, or speaker support.

And that’s where I come in.  In about 80% of the projects I have been involved in, I act as the Creative/Visualization Director.

A few of my favorite projects below…

This animated

marketing piece was created for the Environmental Protection and Compliance (EPC) group at Los Alamos National Laboratory to spotlight the innovative work of the EPC Scrum Team. From the very start, I partnered with the stakeholder to define the vision—and then developed all the creative concepts that shaped the video’s look, feel, and messaging.

I handled the entire production end-to-end: crafting every 3D model, building the environments, materials, and textures, animating each sequence, and completing all rendering and final editing.

Every element in this video—from initial concept to finished animation—was created by me.

Courtroom 600

teaches World War II in a new light, showing how Nazi ideology fueled war and genocide — and equipping students to confront the consequences of hate today.

For the past several years, I have volunteered as an advisor for the non-profit Descendants Media Group’s Courtroom 600 project.

To help with fundraising,

I created concepts and animated them to help demonstrate the scale of 2 items taken during WW2 not often thought (or taught) about, wheat and wine.

Animation was shown during a fundraiser to get people thinking and pull out their checkbooks.

“The Special Christmas Gift”

An award winning 48-minute animated Christmas special for 1 hour time slot.

Written, produced, and directed by… me (also did some of the modeling, animation, and voice). Secured music licenses, worked with composer to create custom versions of songs and auditioned talent, negotiated broadcast and distribution.

“SkeeGolf”

A little self-promotional game we created to celebrate 20 years in business.

Created using “Flash”, a game that combines Skeeball and Mini-Golf.

“Sorry and Connect Four”

We had basically complete freedom with these animations and just had fun with them.

“American Water Future Wall”

AW, the US’s largest water utility company, was building a new one-billion-dollar corporate HQ and wanted something special for their company showcase area.

The map animation was actually interactive; viewers would touch the screen and “slide” to make the map rotate.

I worked with AW’s architectural firm, a video producer, and AW brass eventually designing and creating all elements of the animation.

AW was extremely pleased, and I took a Communicator Award for the project.

“Caterpillar Joystick Controls”

Over the years working with Caterpillar, mine became the only Six Sigma approved animation studio for them.   I modeled and animated dozens and dozens of vehicles for marketing, training, and exhibits.

For their M-Series Motor graders, they had a very specific issue to communicate.  Previous and competitor motor graders used 8-12 “sticks” to control all aspects of the vehicle.

Cat’s new models, used only 2 joysticks and it was left to me to figure out how to best demonstrate this, and it’s still one of my favorite animations I ever created.

“CommScope Cable Prep Tutorials”

CommScope was another long-term client that I created many successful projects with.

For this project, I met with their SMEs to learn exactly what the various procedures were so that I could make accurate training videos for them.  Part of CommScope’s concerns were, people needing to learn the procedures were not paying attention to the “Real-World” presenters and they wanted me to make the animations for the “Videogame Generation”.

The animations were a success, and I took Communicator and Telly Awards for the project.
